My Credentials
I am an advanced Doctoral Candidate (Ed.D.) at the University of Miami, nearing completion of my degree, with a clinical foundation established by a Master of Clinical Social Work (MSW) from Florida State University. This academic rigor grounds my neuroscience-informed, trauma-integrative approach to therapeutic change. My specialized credentials include training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an accredited Life and Solution-Focused Coach Certification, and certification as a State of Florida Domestic Abuse Advocate. I am currently completing my clinical internship at VIP Psychotherapy under the supervision of Danielle Greenfield, LCSW, fulfilling the requirements necessary for State Licensure (LCSW).

My perspective as a therapist is profoundly shaped by having faced life's biggest challenges firsthand. Navigating difficult experiences, from childhood trauma and deep personal losses to complex family situations, has given me an unshakeable belief in the human spirit. These struggles instilled in me a deep, authentic empathy, teaching me not just theory, but what it truly takes to survive adversity and find your path forward. Today, as a clinician and a mother, I channel that hard-earned wisdom to offer clients compassionate, informed support and help them discover their own strength for healing and growth.

My diverse background in social work and public health for over 27 years has shaped my approach to mental health care.
My professional expertise spans nearly two decades of intensive work across the public and private sectors, grounded in three core areas:
1. Trauma, Crisis, and Systemic Care
I possess specialized expertise in high-acuity environments, honed through my work in Miami-Dade and Broward County group homes for at-risk youth (including survivors of abuse and gang involvement), the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (facilitating psychiatric ward and correctional group therapy), and the YWCA's Harmony House Domestic Violence Shelter (providing crisis intervention for mothers and children). This is further strengthened by my experience as a Red Cross Disaster Team member, offering crucial psychological first aid to survivors.
2. Public Health, Outreach, and Family Well-being
My commitment to holistic health was deepened at the Department of Health's WIC program in Palm Beach County, where I provided multicultural health education to expectant mothers and addressed the intersection of financial stress and family nutrition. This work instilled a highly culturally sensitive and preventative lens, applicable to the full family system.
3. Entrepreneurial Acumen and Community Growth
For over five years, as the Director of Mini Mitzvahs, a non-profit I started with my children, I spearheaded youth-led social action projects with Title I schools and low-income communities. Simultaneously, nearly two decades helping to operate a multi-state agricultural supply business provided me with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on nurturing potential. I apply this unique business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit to foster personal growth and resilience in my therapy practice.

As a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and an American Psychological Association (APA) associate, I remain committed to professional excellence and community service. My dedication is further exemplified through my roles on the Domestic Violence KOLOT board with Albert Jewish Family Services of Palm Beach, the Covenant House youth homeless shelter Ambassador Board in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and my partnership with the Children's Home Society-Bridges of Northwood program in Palm Beach County. These affiliations enhance my ability to provide comprehensive care while contributing to vital community initiatives.
What else?
I try to live with the constant awareness that life is short, so that I feel present in every moment and do my best to make the most of what matters to me. I see life as a series of stories within stories– and I’d love to get to know yours. Let’s talk!
